Randall was a member of the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office. He had 18 years of service. He had worked in Corrections, Patrol, Detectives, Warrants, and Safe School divisions. At the time of his death, he was working in the Civil Division.
He was known as Randy to his friends and comrades.

While on duty at approximately 8:00 a.m., his patrol was struck head-on by another vehicle, causing fatal injuries.
Police officials stated that he was a great asset to their department and that he will be sorely missed.
Randy is survived by many friends and family members.
Pray for all who die in the line of duty.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Randall Benoit is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
