Matthew Seidler

Airman 1st Class Matthew R. Seidler, age 24, of Westminster, Maryland, died on January 5, 2012, in Shir Ghazi, Helmand province, Afghanistan, when his vehicle hit an improvised explosive device. 

He was assigned to the 21st Civil Engineer Squadron, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado.
Matt was raised and educated in Westminster, Maryland, attending Westminster High School, Stevenson University and Carroll Community College.

Matt had entered active duty in November of 2009.

Friends stated that Matt had undergone a huge change after joining the military and a boy became a man.  They also stated that Matt's family are extremely proud of their son and of his service to his country. 

Matthew is survived by many loving friends and family including his parents Mark and Lauren Seidler and an older brother.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Matthew Seidler is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
