Vincent Roy - Law Enforcement - Quebec

Police Officer Vincent Roy, age 37, was killed on December 1, 2011, near Adamsville, Quebec, Canada.

Vincent was a member of the Bromont Police Department, in Quebec. He had just recently joined the Department.

He was struck and killed by a vehicle while conducting a highway traffic stop. He was completing the stop and returning the driver's license and registration papers to the driver when a truck struck his patrol car, and then struck him. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Vinnie

Neither alcohol nor speed are thought to be factors in the accident and no charges are pending at this time.

He had previously served with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in St. Albert, Alberta. He left the RCMP earlier this year and moved home to Quebec to be closer to his family.

Former RCMP colleagues in St. Albert remember Vincent as a well-liked and respected member, and a devoted family man who will be profoundly missed.

Vincent is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his wife and a 10 year old son and 8 year old daughter.

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Vincent Roy is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
