Pat Pyette - Law Enforcement - Montana

Undersheriff Pat Pyette, age 54, died in the line of duty on December 14, 2011, in Montana.

Pat was a member of the Blaine County Sheriff's Office, Montana. He had 10 years of service with the Department.

Pat was struck and killed by a vehicle while directing traffic around the scene of a disabled truck on a local highway. An oncoming vehicle that was passing the scene struck Undersheriff Pyette, causing him to suffer fatal injuries. He was transported to a hospital in Great Falls where he succumbed to his injuries.

He had previously served with the United States Air Force with 20 years of service. 

Police officials describe Pat as a fine man, willing to do anything for anybody, no matter who or what. He is also described as dedicated to his community and the people he served.

Other local officials stated that he was the kind of guy you want to have for a friend and neighbor.

Pat is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his wife and son. 

Pray for all who die in the line of duty. 

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Pat Pyette is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
