James Wilkinson

British soldier James Wilkinson, age 21, from Bury, Manchester, died on November 26, 2011, while on a training exercise in Kenya.

He was accidentally shot in the neck on a firing range. 

He was with the 2nd Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. He had been in the army for 12 months and was stationed in Germany.

Family members stated that being in the Military was in his blood, that he was respected in the Military and treasured by their family. 

Military officials describe James as a unique individual, liked and admired by all, happy, enthusiastic and immensely popular across all ranks.

James is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his parents Jan and Rob; his wife, Sarah who is expecting their first child in February of 2012; and his step-son, 2 year old Connor. 

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that James Wilkinson is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
