He had been shot in the head on December 7, 2011, by small arms fire while conducting an unpartnered, dismounted patrol in the Kajaki district of the Helmand Province in Afghanistan.

Christopher was originally from Greensboro, North Carolina and moved to Ramseur when he was 14. He was an ROTC student from seventh through 12th grades and a member of the wrestling and cross country teams at Eastern Randolph High School. He entered the Marine Corps through the Delayed Entry Program after graduating in 2009.
Family members describe Christopher as an awesome man and awesome Marine.
Christopher is survived by many loving friends and family members including his mother, Amanda Sheek; father, Christopher Levy; brothers Payne, Elijah and Thunder Levy, and his step-father, Kevin Sheek.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Christopher Jacob Levy is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
