Theodore B. Rushing

Pfc. Theodore B. Rushing, age 25, of Longwood, Florida, died on November 11, 2011, in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.

He was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 71st Cavalry Regiment; 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light), Fort Drum, New York.

He joined the army in March of 2011 and deployed to Afghanistan with his unit in August.

Theodore was the recipient of many awards and decorations including the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon the NATO Medal and the Army Combat Action Badge.

Theodore is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his father and mother.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Theodore B. Rushing is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
