He was assigned to 3rd Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Twentynine Palms, California.
Nickolas was a graduate of St. Patrick High School in Chicago in 2004 where he was heavily into football. He wanted to become a police officer after his military service.

Loved ones describe Nick as funny and sweet and a giving man. They also said that he was proud to serve his country.
Nick is survived by numerous loving friends and relatives including his parents Gregory and Debi; his sister Kati; his brothers Lonny and Billy; his grandmother Susie; and his fiancee, Katie O'Neill.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Nickolas A. Daniels is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
