Dustin D. Vincent

1st Lt. Dustin D. Vincent, age 25, of Mesquite, Texas, died on November 3, 2011, in Kirkuk province, Iraq, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with small arms fire. 

He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 5th Field Artillery, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas.

Dustin was a 2005 graduate of Mesquite High School and went on the the Univerisity of Texas at Arlington.

He joined the Army in June 2009 as an artillery officer. This was his first deployment. 

Dustin's awards include the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with one Campaign Star, the Global War on Terror-Service Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon.

Dustin is survived by numerous loving friends and relatives including his wife.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Dustin D. Vincent is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
