David Emanuel Hickman

Army Spc. David Emanuel Hickman, age 23, died on November 14, 2011, in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds sustained when his unit was hit by an improvised explosive device. 

David Hickman was with the White Falcons Second Platoon, stationed at Fort Bragg. 

David was from Greensboro, North Carolina and was a 2006 graduate of Northeast Guilford High School. He later attended college for a time but decided to join the military in 2009. 

Jesus, pray for David

He was only weeks from returning from his tour of duty. 

He was an avid football player in high school and was into martial arts. 

Family members stated that they are proud of him and of his service to his country. 

Friends describe him as genuine and adventurous. 

David is survived by many loving friends and family members including his mother and father, Veronica and David Eugene Hickman, and his brother Devon. 

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that David Emanuel Hickman is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
