Drew E. Russell

Capt. Drew E. Russell, age 25, of Scotts, Michigan, died on October 8, 2011, in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with a rocket propelled grenade. 

He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado.

Drew was a 2004 graduate of Vicksburg High School. 

Drew Russell joined the Army in 2008 and joined the unit in June 2009. He was on his first tour overseas.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Drew E. Russell is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
