Byron Garth Greff

Canadian soldier, Master Cpl. Byron Greff, age 28, died on October 29, 2011, in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Byron was a member of the 3rd Battalion Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, based in Edmonton, Alberta. 

He was travelling in an armored military bus when a suicide bomber slammed a vehicle filled with explosives into it, killing him.

He joined the Forces in 2001 and served with the Third Battalion Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry since 2002. This was Byron's second deployment.

Military officials stated that Byron was highly respected by his fellow soldiers, that he was a hard-working infantry soldier and a qualified paratrooper. Officials also stated that Byron was extremely fit.

Bryan is survived by many loving friends and family members including his wife Lindsay, their son and newborn daughter.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Byron Greff is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
