Brad Jones - Law Enforcement - Arizona

Officer Brad Jones, age 27, died in the line of duty on October 29, 2011, in Glendale, Arizona.

Brad was a member of the Glendale Police Department, Arizona. He had 4 years of service with the Department.

On October 28, 2011, a probation officer contacted Glendale police to go with him to meet a man at a Glendale Apartment complex for a meeting. While meeting with the suspect, a struggle ensued and Brad radioed to other officers for assistance. The suspect then pulled out a weapon and fired at Brad, seriously wounding him. Brad died later in the hospital.

Assisting officers saw the suspect flee in the injured officer’s vehicle and chased him until he crashed the vehicle. The suspect began to flee on foot with officers close behind when he pointed a weapon at them. Three officers responded with gunfire, striking the 20 year old suspect.

Friends describe Brad as a devoted husband and father.

He is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his wife, Cindy, and their two young children.

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Brad Jones is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
