Lance Cpl. Terry C. Wright, age 21, of Scio, Ohio, died on September 21, 2011, while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. The cause of his death is under investigation.

He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
He graduated in 2008 from Carrollton High School and Buckeye Career Center in New Philadelphia.
Terry Wright joined the Marine Corps in July 2008 and was promoted to lance corporal in April 2009.
He deployed to Afghanistan in December 2009 for his first tour of duty, with his second tour beginning in July 2011.
His awards include the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, and the NATO Medal for Afghanistan.

High School officials describe Terry as a real likable kid and said that he wanted to be a Marine, even in high school.
Others said that he was always happy-go-lucky, and that it was a rare day when he was down in the dumps about anything.
Terry is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his mother, Dawn Seabolt; brother, Adam Wright who is also serving in the Military; and a sister.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Terry C. Wright is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
