Bret D. Isenhower

Sgt. Bret D. Isenhower, age 26, of Lamar, Oklahoma, died on September 9, 2011, in Paktia, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with small arms fire.

He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 279 Infantry Regiment, 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Oklahoma National Guard, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Bret Isenhower joined the Oklahoma National Guard in 2006, three years after he graduated from Seminole High School. He was promoted to sergeant in March and was a fire team leader.

Bret deployed to Iraq in 2007. This was his second deployment. 

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Bret D. Isenhower is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
