Marine Corps Sgt. Dennis Kancler, age 26, was killed in action on July 31, 2011, in Afghanistan.
He is a from Brecksville, Ohio.
Sgt. Kancler graduated from high school in 2003, and soon joined the Marine Corps.

Dennis stated in an article in 2008 that after 9/11 he wanted to serve his country. He served his first two combat tours in Iraq in 2005 and 2006.
Family friends describe him as responsible and stated that he was devoted to the military. Family and friends stated that they are proud of his service to his country.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Dennis Kancler is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
