U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Daniel J. Patron, age 26, of Canton, Ohio, was killed on August 6, 2011, trying to defuse a roadside bomb in Sangin, Afghanistan, in Helmand province.This man is somehow lost among the men killed in the helicopter crash, which was another incident. He had spent 8 years in the Marine Corps.
Daniel served tours of duty in Iraq in 2005 and 2009.

Daniel is described as selfless, brave and gutsy and a hero to his family.
A 2003 Perry High School graduate, Daniel Patron is the son of Kathy and Frank Patron, and has a younger brother Matthew Patron. He is married to Cody (Drace) Patron. The couple was stationed at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, N.C.
Daniel was serving his third tour of duty.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Daniel J. Patron is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
