Pray for Matthew

Friends remember him as an extremely hard worker and a great guy. He intended to make the army his full-time career. Matthew Nielson was in Army ROTC at the University of Northern Iowa, where he had graduated six years ago. He received his commission in May 2008 as an armor officer.

Matthew's awards and decorations include an Army Achievement Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon and Air Assault Badge.

Matthew is one of seven children of Roger and Chris Nielson.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Matthew G. Nielson is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
