Caleb Hamm - Firefighter - Idaho

Caleb Hamm, age 24, from Idaho, died on July 7, 2011, while working on the 337 Fire near Mineral Wells, Texas.  This was a wildfire, probably started by lightning.

Caleb Hamm was a member of the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) Bonneville Interagency Hotshot crew, based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Saint Florian, pray
for Caleb
He collapsed while working on the fireline and was being medically evacuated to a nearby hospital when he died.  He is believed to have died from the extreme heat.

Caleb had served as a seasonal firefighter for six years. This was his first as a member of a hotshot crew. He was a 2010 graduate of the University of Idaho and resided in the Boise, Idaho area.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Caleb Hamm is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
