Michael C. Nolen

Cpl. Michael C. Nolen, age 22, of Spring Valley, Wisconsin., died on June 27, 2011, while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.

He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C. 

Michael Nolen was an infantryman who joined the Marine Corps in November 2007 and was promoted to corporal Dec. 2, 2009. He deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in March.

His awards include the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Michael C. Nolen is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
