My husband Logan Bixler served with "Apo" in Iraq with 1-41 Infantry, Fort Riley, Kansas. I received a phone call today from my husband who is currently on his 4th deployment in Iraq with XVIII Airborne based out of Fort Bragg, NC which is where Apo deployed from this deployment. My husband was devastated to hear this news. Along with this news, he also told me of another soldier both he and Apo were deployed with in 1-41, was KIA just a few days prior, SSG. K. Lorenzo. May they both rest in peace.

I just found out the news no one wants to hear or read about,of the deaths of two good friends whom I served with
in B Co 1-41, SSG "APO" and SSG Lorenzo. As I sit here in Iraq thinking of these two great men I served with, I start to think of the conversations we used to have back in Ft riley and in Iraq. You will be greatly missed my friends. My heart goes out to their families back home. May you rest in peace and GOD Bless
