He was with the Sheriff's Office of Berks County, Pennsylvania. He was a K-9 Officer.
Kyle was part of a task force that tried to serve a warrant in a rural part of the state, about 70 miles from Philadelphia.

Kyle was shot and killed by Matthew Connor, age 25. Connor's family said he had threatened in the past to kill himself by provoking police. He faced charges for threatening his family and girlfriend with guns. Matthew Connor was shot and killed at the scene.
Kyle Pagerly had served in the Army as a military police officer in Kosovo and Iraq and was promoted to sergeant. He had extensive police training.
Let us pray for all who die in the line of duty.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Kyle Pagerly is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
