Garrett Styles - Law Enforcement - Canada

Canadian Police Constable. Garrett Styles, age 32, was killed in the line of duty on June 28, 2011.
He was a member of the York Regional Police in Ontario, Canada.
Garrett was on a routine patrol when he pulled over a vehicle on Highway 48 just south of Herald Road in the Town of East Gwillimbury at 4:50 a.m. He was investigating the driver and was at the driver’s side door when he tried to pry the keys from the ignition. Suddenly, the vehicle accelerated and he was dragged approximately 300 metres before the vehicle lost control and rolled over, pinning him beneath it.
Michael, Archangel, Patron
saint of the Police, pray
for Garrett
While pinned beneath the van, Garrett managed to contact police dispatch over his radio and direct emergency crews to his location. Some of his last words were: "I've got a van on my waist. It hurts. And, uh, I've got these people inside the van. I don't know how they are doing."
Even then, he was forwarding information about the people who ultimately killed him. He is a true hero.
A 15-year-old boy, the unlicensed driver, has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Garrett.
Garrett leaves behind his wife, Melissa, and two small children.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Garrett Styles is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
