Ronald D. Freeman

Lance Cpl. Ronald D. Freeman, age 25, of Plant City, Florida, died on April 28, 2011, while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.

He was assigned to 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Ronald Freeman deployed just last month in support of Operation Enduring Freeman. He joined the Marines in September 2008 and was promoted to lance corporal Nov. 1, 2009. 

His awards include the National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.

He is survived by his wife, daughter and newborn son. 

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Ronald D. Freeman is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
