Linda L. Pierre


Father, take Linda to heaven
Sergeant Linda Lamou Pierre, age 28, of Immokalee, Florida, died on April 16, 2011, as result of a suicide attack during a meeting on Forward Operating Base Gamberi, Nangarhar province, Afghanistan. 

Linda was assigned to Headquarters and headquarters Company, 101st Special Troops Battalion, 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky. 

Linda was a Human Resources Specialist. She joined the Army in November 2006 and arrived at Fort Campbell in September 2009. 

Her awards and decorations include: Bronze Star Medal; Purple Heart Medal; Army Commendation Medal; Army Achievement Medal; Army Good Conduct Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Afghanistan Campaign Medal; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon; North Atlantic Treaty Organization Medal and Combat Action Badge.

She is survived by her father, Jean Lamour and mother, Elvina Pierre, both of Immokalee, Florida. 

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Linda Pierre is in heaven. Let us pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen
