David L. Brodeur

Major David L. Brodeur, of Auburn, Mass., age 34, died on April 27, 2011, at the Kabul Airport in Afghanistan.
Jesus, pray for David Brodeur

Ahmad Gul, a 50-year-old pilot from Tarakhail district of Kabul province, was distressed over his personal finances and opened fire at Kabul airport after an argument, killing seven other U.S. troops and an American civilian contractor. Ahmad Gul was killed in the incident.

God help us all, if everyone who is financially distressed, kills others. We are all financially distressed. Where is the rationality in this? God, the Father, help us. Jesus, pray for humanity. Save us from the violent freaks, wherever they are.

David Brodeur was assigned to the 11th Air Force, based at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska.

He was an adviser to the Afghan Command and Control center under NATO Air Training Command-Afghanistan. He was deployed in February.

He has a wife and 2 children.

Family members stated that David set his sights on the Air Force Academy, with dreams of becoming a fighter pilot. A standout student and athlete at Auburn High School, David Brodeur was a born leader and a big-brother figure whom people naturally rallied around.

Family members and friends also described him as a real gentleman: brave, proud, sympathetic, generous and  strong.  He is also described as a dedicated husband and father of two beautiful children.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that David Brodeur is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
