Alexandre joined the 2nd Regiment of the Marines on February 6, 2007.
Military superiors stated that he was very skilled and universally liked by his superiors and his peers.

During his four years of service, he served in Chad as part of EUFOR from March to June 2008 and the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire from July to October 2009. He had been deployed to Afghanistan in December 2010.
He had been awarded with several medals for his service in Chad and Ivory Coast.
He is survived by many loving relatives, including his wife and 2 year old daughter.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Alexandre Rivière is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
