Jerome Firtamag

Staff Sgt. Jerome Firtamag, age 29, of Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia, died from cancer, on February 24, 2011. 

Jerome Firtamag was an avionic radar repairer assigned to Bravo Company, 96th Combat Support Battalion, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.

He joined the Army in March 2003 and arrived at Fort Campbell in January 2007. 

His awards and decorations include: Army Commendation Medal; Joint Meritorious Unit Award; Army Good Conduct Medal; Afghanistan Campaign Medal; Iraq Campaign Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Overseas Service Ribbon; North Atlantic Treaty Organization Medal and Army Service Ribbon.

Jerome Firtamag is survived by his wife, Kimberley Firtamag of Hopkinsville, Ky.; father, John Firtamag and mother, Ruth Giyeg both of San Antonio, Texas.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Jerome Firtamag is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
