David Dalzell

British Ranger David Dalzell, age 20, of 1st Battalion, The Royal Irish Regiment, died on February 4, 2011, in an operational accident in the Nad-e Ali district of Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

He was accidentally shot by a colleague, apparently during the cleaning of their rifles. 

David was from Northern Ireland. 

Ranger Dalzell's parents, Gordon and Susan, said: "David was a loving and caring son and he was very proud to be a soldier. We are very proud of David as a son and he leaves behind a void that will never be filled. He will be missed by his brothers Gareth, Mark and Stewart and sisters Kelly, Catherine and Rachael."

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that David Dalzell is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
