Pfc. Conrado D. Javier, age 19, of Marina, Calif., died December 19, 2010, of wounds from a roadside bomb in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan.
He was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment our of Vilseck, Germany.
He was a 2009 graduate of Seaside High School. Conrado Javier, who was one of eight children, yearned to be in the military since he was 5 years old. At Seaside High, he was active in the ROTC program, was a member of the drill team and frequently volunteered to attend funerals and other occasions with the team.
Family describe him as loyal and compassionate. He is survived by his parents, Julia and Conrado and his siblings and other loving family members. He was looking forward to family trip to Mexico planned for next summer.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Conrado D. Javier Jr. is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
