Sgt. First Class Phillip C. Tanner, age 43, was processing through Kuwait after leaving Afghanistan when he collapsed and died in Ali Al Salem, Kuwait.
Phillip Tanner, who joined the Army in 1993, was motor transportation operator with the 541st Transportation Company, 106th Transportation Battalion, 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division. He arrived at Fort Campbell in 2007. He received numerous awards and medals while serving.
Phillip Tanner is survived by his wife, Hyun Tanner, of Clarksville, Tenn., and daughter, Ashley Tanner, of Hinesville, Ga.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Phillip Tanner is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
