19-year-old Lance Cpl. Alec E. Catherwood of Byron died October 14, 2010. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
Alec Catherwood was engaged to be married in July. He graduated from Byron High School in 2009 and enlisted in the Marine Corps last June. This was his first deployment.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Alec Catherwood is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
