British Army engineer, Matthew Thomas, age 24, was killed September 25, 2010, in the Garmsir district of Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
He was with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and died when the vehicle he was driving was hit by an improvised explosive device.
Cpl Thomas, known as "Tommo", was attached to the Special Forces Support Group. His comrades paid tribute to an "intelligent, dedicated and courageous" soldier.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Matthew Thomas is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
