Jesse Infante

Staff Sgt. Jesse Infante, age 30, died Aug. 30, 2010, in the Arghandab River Valley, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. 

He was assigned to the 4th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team based at Fort Carson, Colo.

Jesse Infante graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1999. He enlisted in the Army in January 2000 and previously had served a combat tour in Iraq from December 2005 to December 2006.

He deployed to Afghanistan on July 25. He was trained as an explosive ordnance disposal specialist.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Jesse Infante is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
