A San Antonio soldier, Pfc. Diego Montoya, age 20, was recently killed (in 2010) in Mehtar Lam, Afghanistan. Family members said they didn't have many details of Diego Montoya's death, including when he was killed.Diego Montoya was born in McAllen and raised in Mission, but moved to San Antonio with his family about four years ago.
He was deployed in May and was serving his first tour in northern Afghanistan as a military policeman with the 64th M.P. Company.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Diego Montoya is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
