An Army chaplain who spent three years as a pastor at First Baptist Church in White, South Dakota, has been killed by a roadside bomb. Captain Dale Goetz was one of five soldiers killed in Afghanistan when the IED went off August 30, 2010.
Dale Goetz served as the pastor at the First Baptist Church in White from 2000 to 2004. After leaving the church, he became an Army chaplain.
He leaves behind a wife and three sons who live in Colorado. Goetz was just deployed to Afghanistan as a chaplain August 1.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Dale Goetz is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
