Spc. Jonathan Kellylee Peney, age 22, of Marietta, Georgia, was killed in action on June 1, 2010, in Afghanistan. He was killed in action by enemy fire while trying to render aid to a wounded Ranger in the Kandahar Province. Jonathan Peney was assigned to Company D, 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, as a combat medic. He is survived by his wife and mother.
