Blake Snyder - Police Officer Fatality - Missouri

Police Officer Blake Snyder, age 33, died in the line of duty on October 6, 2016, in Green Park, Missouri.

Officer Snyder was a member of the St. Louis County Police Department. He had 4 years of service. 

Just after 5:00 a.m., Blake and another officer responded to a disturbance call at a residence in Green Park.

As soon as they left their patrol cars, they were shot at by a male suspect.

Tragically, Blake was shot pointblank and died at the scene.

The other officer was able to return fire and wound the suspect, Trenton Forster, age 18, who was apprehended. Trenton Forster reportedly filled his social media account with posts about how much he hated the police.

Friends describe Blake as a man with a kind and generous spirit. He stepped up to help others.

The St. Louis County Police Department is in mourning over the death of their brother. Blake is described as a great guy and a dedicated officer. He was one of the good guys. He will be forever remembered.

Blake's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He was a man of faith who loved his family. He was loved in return. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.

Blake is survived by many loving friends and family members including his wife, Elizabeth, and his 2 year old son.
