Robert Barker - Police Officer Fatality - Arkansas

Police Officer Robert Barker, age 26, died in the line of duty on September 15, 2016, in Arkansas.

He was a member of the McCrory Police Department. He had 4 years of service.

McCrory is a town in Woodruff County, Arkansas, with a population of under 2,000. It is located about 85 miles northeast of Little Rock.

At about 5:00 a.m., Officer Barker was responding to a call for assistance by members of the Woodruff County Sheriff's Office.

His patrol car hit a deer on a highway south of Patterson. His vehicle veered off of the highway and overturned.

Robert was rushed to a hospital in Searcy where, tragically, he was pronounced

The McCrory Police Department is in mourning over the death of their young brother. He will be forever remembered.

Robert's loved ones are devastated over his tragic death. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.

Robert is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members who will forever miss him.
