Patricia and her four daughters had been attending a birthday party for a 4 year old girl. The party was at a house very near their own apartment building.
At about 10:30 p.m., they were walking home together when a vehicle slammed into them, striking Patricia and two of the four children.
Nicholas Munoz, age 27, has been arrested on suspicion of impaired driving in connection with this tragedy. He co-operated with the Police.
Tragically, Patricia, Dayana and Stephanie died at the scene.

Neighbors state that cars are often speeding in this district of Placentia. The area needs crosswalks and stop signs.

However we offer this advice to all drivers: If you find that you are drunk, wasted or doped up on street drugs or prescription drugs or if you are falling asleep on your feet, do NOT drive. Call a family member or a friend for a ride; or take a taxi or a bus; or stay where you are until you sober up; or crawl home on your hands and knees. It will be better for you and for the world if you do.
Regret can last a lifetime.
Patricia had been separated from her husband for three years. She worked in a factory to support her kids with the help of her father-in-law.
The family of Patricia, Dayana and Stephanie are devastated over their sudden and tragic deaths. Patricia loved her kids. Stephanie and Dayana were happy little girls. They will be forever mourned.
They are survived by many loving friends and family members who will forever miss them.
Pray for justice for Patricia, Dayana and Stephanie.
