Tragedy in Munich, Germany - July, 2016

On July 22, 2016, a gunman opened fire at a fast food restaurant and then at a shopping mall in Munich, Germany. 

Tragically, nine innocent bystanders were shot and killed, including 7 teenagers. 

The shooter, Ali Sonboly, age 18, then killed himself. 

He was a German citizen of Iranian descent. He had no known ties to any terrorist group. 

It has been reported that Ali Sonboly was a loner, was depressed and was undergoing psychiatric counselling. He was obsessed with serial killers and with recent mass killings.
