A terrible tragedy in Afghanistan - 6 American Air Force personnel killed by a suicide bomber

A terrible tragedy occurred on December 21, 2015, near Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan.

A patrol of American Air Force personnel was attacked by a suicide bomber riding on a motorcycle. Six Americans service members were killed.

Tragically deceased are:

Major Adrianna M. Vorderbruggen, age 36, of Plymouth, Minnesota. She was assigned to the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, 9th Field Investigations Squadron, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.

Staff Sgt. Michael A. Cinco, age 28, of Mercedes, Texas. He was assigned to the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, 11th Field Investigations Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas.

Staff Sgt. Peter W. Taub, age 30, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was assigned to the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, Detachment 816, Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota.

Staff Sgt. Chester J. McBride, age 30, of Statesboro, Georgia. He was assigned to the
Angels of God, pray for these Airmen and
for those who have lost them.

Technical Sgt. Joseph G. Lemm, age 45, of Bronx, New York. He was assigned to the 105th Security Forces Squadron at Stewart Air National Guard Base, New York.

Staff Sgt. Louis M. Bonacasa, age 31, of Coram, New York. He was assigned to the 105th Security Forces Squadron at Stewart Air National Guard Base, New York.

The military comrades of these service members are in mourning over the death of their sister and brothers. These airmen died in the service of their country. They will be forever remembered.

The loved ones of these service members are devastated by their sudden and tragic deaths. Oceans of tears will be shed for them. They did their best. They will be forever mourned.

Thank you for serving, Adrianna, Chester, Joseph, Louis, Michael and Peter.

Pray without ceasing unto God for an end to this war in Afghanistan. It is enough. We are sick with grief for those who serve and die in this violent land. 

God help us. Amen.

Pray that Adrianna, Chester, Joseph, Louis, Michael and Peter are in heaven. Pray that they are at peace and are with God. Amen.
