Patton Stone - a Good Samaritan in Chesterfield County, Virginia

Patton Stone (L); Scott Swindell (R)
On June 8, 2015, Scott Swindell, age 17, of Chesterfield, Virginia, was driving home from work late at night.

This is a dark, rural road and it was raining.

Scott swerved his pickup truck to avoid an oncoming vehicle, hit several trees and came to a stop. He went unconscious.

The truck started on fire which started to escalate with 3 or 4 foot high flames.  The smoke started to choke the teenager.

A passing motorist, Patton Stone, pulled over and was able to pull Scott through the window. A minute later the whole truck burst into flames.

Scott is bruised, has a few burns, and has a few fractures in his face but he is doing well.

Scott's family are extremely grateful to Patton Stone for his bravery.  They call him a guardian angel.

The Good Samaritan reaches
out to strangers in distress
Patton Stone says that God intervened to save the teen.

Scott and Patton are planning on meeting sometime soon.

God bless Patton Stone.  He is a Good Samaritan.

God bless all who come to the aid of strangers. Amen.
