Raymond Howell Jr. - teen bullied to death in Texas

Raymond Howell Jr.
Raymond Howell Jr., age 14, died on April 2, 2015, in McKinney, Texas.

Raymond was known as Junior to his family.

McKinney is a city in Collin County, Texas, with a population of under 150,000.

Raymond committed suicide. He shot himself at a culvert on a street not far from his school.

Raymond was a student at McKinney Boyd High School. Raymond's family state that relentless bullying by other students at the school led to his death.  Two weeks ago some of these kids showed up at his home, fought him and then posted a video of the fight on the internet.

A few days later, he fought again, in school, against one of the older teens. That video was posted online as well.  He was mocked and laughed at over these fights.

Raymond wanted to transfer out of this school.

Family members stated that school officials were aware of the fights and suspensions were issued. The school states however that they were not aware of bullying.  The School District is investigating the issue.

Saint Bernadette of Lourdes, who said
"I am ground like a grain of wheat",
pray for Raymond and for all who
are ground down by bullying.
Friends and family members state that Raymond loved people and was a kind kid with a big heart. He wasn't a fighter but he would stand up for others. He loved his family. He just didn't know how to handle this ongoing harassment and hatred.
