Wilson Valdez - a Good Samaritan killed in Plainfield, New Jersey

Wilson Valdez, age 31, died on March 12, 2014, in Plainfield, New Jersey.

Wilson owned a small convenience store in Plainfield. During the afternoon of March 12th, he was at work when a fight broke out between gang members outside of his store. 

One of the gang members went inside the store. A pregnant woman and her little girl (4 or 5 years old) were in the store at the same time and wanted to leave. They were frightened. Wilson went outside with the woman and her child to protect them and he was then shot in the exchange of gunfire.

The police arrived to investigate the shooting and pursued a vehicle which wildly fled the scene and then collided with an SUV.

Abdul Ward, age 23, has been charged with murder. Arthur Negron, age 24, has been charged with several weapons offenses.

Friends describe Wilson as a pleasant and giving person.

Wilson's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He will be forever mourned.

Wilson is survived by many loving friends and family members including his parents; his girlfriend and his 8 year old son. 

Pray for justice for Wilson. 

Pray for all come to the aid of others and who die because of it.

Pray for all who go to work and who die there.

God save us from the Lost Ones who bring death to strangers. Amen.

Pray that Wilson is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
