Shaina graduated from Medina High School and then joined the military in 2010.   She earned her jump wings at the Basic Airborne Course at Fort Benning, Georgia.  She served a four-month deployment to Iraq with 2nd Brigade in 2011. She was looking forward to being deployed to Italy.

Shaina's comrades are in mourning over her tragic death.  She will be forever remembered.

Friends describe Shaina as a spirited and focused soldier.  She was intelligent and

Her family are devastated by her sudden and tragic death.  She will be forever mourned. Shaina is described as outgoing, funny, determined and caring.  She loved the military.

Shaina is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members including her mother, Karie; and her brother and sister.

Thank you for serving, Shaina.

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

Pray for all who die by misadventure.  They are with us one moment and are gone before we can say goodbye.

Pray for the 21 year old women who die suddenly and tragically.  They barely had a chance to live.

Pray that Shaina is in heaven. Pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen.
