Police Officer Robert German, age 31, died in the line of duty on March 22, 2014, at a hospital in Orlando, Florida.
Robert German

Robert was a member of the Windermere Police Department. He had 5 years of service.

Many of his friends called him "Robby".

At about 3:30 a.m., Officer German was investigating two suspicious people walking on a road in Windermere. He called for back-up.

Before back-up arrived, Officer German was shot in the head. Responding officers heard additional gunshots in the area and used their patrol cars to shield Officer German so he could be extracted from the scene. He was transported to a local hospital where he tragically passed away.

Two suspects in the shooting, a male and female in their late teens or early 20's, were found dead across the street.  They had shot and killed themselves.

The Windermere Police Department is in mourning over the death of their brother.
Michael, Archangel, Patron Saint of the Police,
pray for Robert

Police officials stated that Robert was one of their finest officers.

Family members stated that all Robert ever wanted to do was to be a cop.  He loved his job and the Town of Windermere.

Friends describe Robert as helpful, patient, dedicated and ready with a smile for everyone.

Robert is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members including his mother.

Thank you for your service to the public, Robert.

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

God save us from the Lost Ones who stalk the Earth stealing away life.  They are killing us, Father.

Pray that Robert is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
