Ava-Jayne Corless - an infant killed by a dog in England

Ava-Jayne Corless
Ava-Jayne Corless, age 11 months, died on February 10, 2014, at house in Blackburn, England.

Ava-Jayne was mauled to death by a pit bull dog while she slept in an upstairs bedroom. She received multiple traumatic injuries to her body. The dog is named "Killer".

This tragedy occurred at the house of the boyfriend, not the home of the mother.

The child's mother, Chloe King, age 20, and her boyfriend, Lee
Lee Wright, the pitbull
owner
Wright, age 26, were downstairs at the time of the attack.

They were both arrested on suspicion of child neglect and manslaughter and have since been released on bail.

The mother has stated that she loved her daughter very much and would do anything to get her back. The biological father of the child, Dean Corless, age 24, stated that Chloe is a wonderful and amazing mother.

The dog was destroyed. It has been identified as a banned type of pit bull terrier under the Dangerous Dogs Act. Also banned under the act are Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino and Fila Brasileiro dogs. There are 20 other aggressive dog breeds that should be included in this list.

The loved ones of Ava-Jayne describe her as a most beautiful and adorable little girl who will be forever missed.

This was all a tragic "accident". However, people in England and the U.S.A. and elsewhere insist on breeding, selling and promoting these dangerous dogs, despite the fact that they are banned by the Government.  That is no accident.

These dogs are banned for a reason. They kill people. There are numerous posts on this blog concerning vicious dogs, who if they get agitated, will try to rip your throat out regardless if you are a toddler or a senior citizen just walking by.

Dangerous dog breeds should be banned universally. They should be made extinct as a species and should be bred out of existence and fast.

Anyone who breeds, sells or buys a dangerous dog breed should be prosecuted and should be heavily fined. Or imprisoned if they continue to breed these dogs.

Caring parents and responsible citizens do not expose children or anyone else to

dangerous dogs. The "oops, I made a mistake" story is too late after someone has been bitten to death.

Death by dog is not acceptable in a civilized country.

Ava-Jayne is survived by many loving well-wishers.

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and gone the next.

Pray that Ava-Jayne is playing in the fields of heaven. Amen.
