Ernesto Wiedenbrug - Hit and Run Victim - Colorado

Ernesto Wiedenbrug, age 46, of Fort Collins, died on January 25, 2014, at a hospital in Loveland, Colorado.

At about 5:30 p.m., Ernesto was riding his bicycle on an Interstate near Windsor, Colorado, when he was struck by a vehicle, which fled the scene.

State Troopers transported Ernesto to the hospital where he passed away.

Police in Fort Collins are looking for a silver sedan which may have been involved in the hit and run. It is believed that Ernesto was struck from behind. He was wearing a helmet.

Ernesto was originally from Argentina. He had a PHD degree and worked for a company providing products and services to the industrial electric motor industry. He

His family in Argentina are deeply mourning his tragic death.

Ernesto is survived by many loving friends and family members who will forever miss him. 


Pray for all who die by misadventure.  They are with us one moment and gone the next.

God save us from the drunk drivers, the doped up drivers and the speeding drivers. They strike us down and then run away like wolves.  They leave us to die on the road. 


Pray that Ernesto is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
