Gail was a nurse. She was working when she heard a commotion. She left one curtained area to see what was happening and was stabbed in the chest.

Several stabbings took place just before 7 a.m. Tuesday at the Ambulatory Surgical Center of Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, a city in the eastern part of the state near the border with Louisiana.

Kyron Templeton, age 22, of Longview, Texas, has been charged with murder and four counts of aggravated assault. He was angry at the hospital care his mother was receiving.

Three other people besides Gail were attacked. They are: hospital employee Karen Bobo, and hospital visitors Harris Teel, Teresa Allison and Melissa Simms.

Kyron Templeton, who is being held on a $2.6 million bond, was at the medical center with his mother when he began the stabbing attack. He fled the scene on foot but was apprehended nearby after a brief struggle.

Gail had been an employee at the hospital for decades. She had put herself through school at Baylor University.

Hospital officials stated that Gail was protecting her patients by stepping in.
Saint Bernadette of
Lourdes, pray for Gail

Family members stated that Gail loved being a nurse. She is described as a huge Baylor fan, a mother, a grandmother, a healer, a trainer, a mentor, a nurturer. She was a caregiver to her basic core.

Family, friends and comrades are deeply in grief over this tragedy.

Gail attended a First Baptist Church, whose members are mourning her passing. She will forever be remembered and honored there.

Gail had previously been honored for her success in becoming a faith-based nurse, community volunteer, softball coach and Sunday school teacher by being named a Longview Regional Medical Center Star Over Longview in 2003.

Gail is survived by many loving friends and relatives including her husband, Jim; and their two adult daughters, Kacy and Kelley.

Pray for justice for Gail.

Many people are disturbed over the treatment that their loved ones receive in medical facilities.  Do you shoot or stab innocent bystanders to death because you are upset?

God help us.

God save us from the Lost Ones. They are killing us, Father. Amen.

Pray that Gail is in heaven. Pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen.
